Abstract
Un método para formar una parte de aluminio fabricada aditivamente incluye establecer un arco entre un alambre de aluminio con núcleo de metal y la parte de aluminio fabricada aditivamente, en donde el alambre de aluminio con núcleo de metal incluye una funda metálica y un núcleo granular dispuesto dentro de la funda metálica. El núcleo granular comprende nanocompuestos de matriz metálica de aluminio (Al-MMNC) que comprenden una matriz metálica de aluminio y nanopartículas cerámicas. El método incluye derretir una porción del alambre de aluminio con núcleo de metal usando el calor del arco para formar gotas fundidas. El método incluye transferir las gotas fundidas a la parte de aluminio fabricada aditivamente bajo un flujo de gas inerte, y solidificar las gotas fundidas bajo el flujo de gas inerte para formar depósitos de la parte de aluminio fabricada aditivamente.
