Abstract

Se proporciona un dispositivo y un método de dimensionamiento con imágenes digitales y datos de profundidad. El dispositivo incluye una cámara y un dispositivo sensor de profundidad cuyos campos de visión generalmente se superponen. Se identifican segmentos de formas que pertenecen a un objeto identificado en una imagen digital de la cámara. En base a los datos de profundidad respectivos, del dispositivo de sensor de profundidad, asociado con cada uno de los segmentos de las formas que pertenecen al objeto, se determina si cada uno de los segmentos está asociado con una misma forma que pertenece al objeto. Una vez que todos los segmentos se procesan para determinar sus asociaciones respectivas con las formas del objeto en la imagen digital, las dimensiones del objeto se calculan en base a los datos de profundidad respectivos y las respectivas asociaciones de las formas.
