Abstract
Procesos para fabricar cables y núcleos de cables que tienen una capa de aislamiento reticulado. Los procesos comprenden: (a) proporcionar un centro del cable inicial que tiene un conductor, una primera capa semiconductora, una capa de aislamiento inicial que comprende una composición polimérica reticulable y una segunda capa semiconductora y, (b) someter el centro del cable inicial a un proceso de reticulación. La composición polimérica reticulable comprende un polímero basado en etileno, un peróxido orgánico y un coagente de reticulación de polialilo. El coagente de reticulación de polialilo y el peróxido orgánico están presentes en cantidades suficientes para proporcionar una relación molar del oxígeno alilo con el activo de menos de 1.2.
