Abstract

Se proporcionan un aparato y un método para determinar el estado de frenado de los remolques y plataformas en un tren de vehículos con varios remolques. Un controlador de vehículo recibe entradas del vehículo para determinar una estimación de la masa total del vehículo desde la respuesta dinámica del vehículo a una entrada, como la aplicación del par motor, y para determinar una estimación de las cargas del vehículo con base en la información proporcionada de los remolques y las plataformas que se comunican con el controlador del vehículo. Se realiza un análisis de factibilidad para determinar si las estimaciones están dentro de un rango de tolerancia indicativo de si todos los remolques y las plataformas se están comunicando con el controlador del vehículo. Si el controlador del vehículo determina que no están disponibles todos los sistemas de frenos antibloqueo y/o de control de estabilidad del remolque y la plataforma, el controlador del vehículo puede controlar la aplicación de los frenos del remolque y la plataforma en los siguientes eventos de frenado a un nivel reducido para evitar el derrape las llantas del remolque y de la plataforma.
