Abstract

Un muelle en espiral compuesto (20) incluye un cuerpo en espiral (2) que se extiende a lo largo de un eje en espiral (24). El cuerpo en espiral incluye un núcleo (38) y una pluralidad de capas de fibra (32) impregnadas con un material de polímero. La pluralidad de capas de fibra están acomodadas alrededor del núcleo en diferentes distancias radiales desde el eje en espiral. Cada una de la pluralidad de capas de fibra se extiende alrededor del eje en espiral en un ángulo oblicuo de fibra con respecto al eje en espiral.
