Abstract
Un procedimiento para cerrar un reactor de deshidrogenación que tiene un lecho de catalizador con un catalizador que contiene cromo que opera a una primera temperatura elevada comprende enfriar el lecho de catalizador con un primer gas de enfriamiento a una segunda temperatura elevada inferior a la primera temperatura elevada, eliminar el primer gas de enfriamiento, introducir un gas reductor al lecho de catalizador, enfriar el lecho de catalizador con un segundo gas de enfriamiento de la segunda temperatura elevada a la tercera temperatura elevada, eliminar el gas reductor, enfriar el lecho de catalizador a una cuarta temperatura elevada e introducir aire para enfriar el catalizador a temperatura ambiente, por lo cual el reactor de deshidrogenación se cierra; el segundo gas de enfriamiento puede ser el mismo que, o diferente de, el gas reductor; además, el gas reductor se puede purgar del reactor por medio de un tercer gas de enfriamiento.
