Abstract

La invención se refiere a un reductor de velocidad constituido por una cadena portadora de tuercas y, en una primera modalidad, por un husillo de bolas, y en una segunda modalidad, por un tomillo de rodillos. El husillo de bolas, o el tomillo de rodillos, impulsa a las tuercas cuando éstas están alineadas en uno de los tramos rectos de la cadena. El husillo, o el tomillo de rodillos, puede ser casi tan largo como la distancia entre centros de las ruedas dentadas en que está montada la cadena; por esta característica y por el hecho de que las tuercas abrazan al husillo, o al tomillo, la superficie de contacto es muy grande y, por lo tanto, la capacidad de carga es muy elevada. Como en ambas modalidades, el contacto es rodante, la fricción es baja y como consecuencia la eficiencia es alta, tan alta que permite que este invento se utilice también como amplificador.
