Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición con actividad antimicrobiana para desinfectar lechugas (Lactuca sativa), caracterizada porque comprende: A) Extracto acuoso seco de cálices de Jamaica (Hibiscus sabdariffa) en una concentración de 1% b) Ácido acético en una concentración de 0.1 a 0.5%; c) Hipoclorito de sodio en una concentración de 50 y 100 ppm; d) Polisorbato 80 en una concentración del 2% en donde la composición es efectiva contra la eliminación del 100% de E. coli y S.Typhimurium.
