Abstract
Las formas de realizacion de la presente invencion proveen un codificador que comprende una etapa de cuantificacion, un codificador de la entropia, una etapa de cuantificacion residual y/o un formador de senales codificadas. La etapa de cuantificacion esta configurada para cuantificar una senal egresada utilizando una zona muerta a efectos de obtener una pluralidad de valores cuantificados. El codificador de la entropia esta configurado para codificar la pluralidad de valores cuantificados utilizando un esquema de codificacion de la entropia a efectos de obtener una pluralidad de valores codificados de la entropia. La etapa de cuantificacion residual esta configurada para cuantificar una senal residual causada por la etapa de la cuantificacion, en donde la etapa de cuantificacion residual esta configurada para determinar por lo menos un valor cuantificado residual en funcion de la zona muerta de la etapa de cuantificacion. El formador de senales codificadas esta configurado para formar una senal codificada a partir de la pluralidad de valores codificados de la entropia y del por lo menos un valor cuantificado residual.
