Abstract

Se describe un sistema y método para la detección y el procesamiento automatizados en tiempo real de mensajes comerciales, comunicados de servicio público o segmentos de programación de TV repetidos y de corta duración similares que tienen lugar en uno o más flujos de vídeo difundidos. Se utiliza un proceso que identifica posibles segmentos de anuncios publicitarios mediante la identificación de unos segmentos de vídeo discretos que tienen unas duraciones cortas específicas entre otros atributos. Se considera que es probable que los segmentos de vídeo que parecen tener estas características sean anuncios publicitarios de televisión, promociones o comunicados de servicio público y se almacenan en una base de datos de anuncios de TV que está separada de la base de datos de contenido de televisión primario. El vídeo entrante a partir de una pluralidad de fuentes de programación de televisión se procesa para dar huellas digitales y se coloca en una base de datos de contenido de TV maestro. Al mismo tiempo, dicha programación entrante se somete a prueba en busca de coincidencias en una base de datos de anuncios de TV. Si se halla una coincidencia, entonces el anuncio de TV supuesto se retira de la base de datos de contenido maestro.
