Abstract

El presente documento se refiere a un sistema de comunicación inalámbrico y, de manera más específica, a un método para soportar de manera flexible la asignación de recursos en un sistema de LAN inalámbrico y un método y un aparato para la transmisión de señales usando el mismo. Para este fin, una primera STA configura una trama de radio que comprende: un campo de señalización (SIG) que incluye información de control; y un campo de datos en el cual los datos pueden ser transmitidos a través de un canal discontinuo o un canal que tiene un tamaño de ancho de banda que es soportado por un sistema obsoleto. Cuando la primera STA transmite la trama de radio configurada a una segunda STA, el campo SIG comprende preferiblemente: información acerca de un ancho de banda completo en el cual los datos pueden ser transmitidos a través del campo de datos; y la información de indicador de nulo que indica una región de canal del ancho de banda completo, que no es usada en la transmisión de datos, o información de indicador de canal usada que indica una región de canal del ancho de banda completo que es usada en la transmisión de datos.
