Abstract
En la presente invención se describe un aparato de refrigeración o acondicionador de aire y, particularmente, un aparato enfriador que contiene una composición que comprende 1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro- 2-buteno y 1,2-dicloroetileno, en donde el 1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro- 2-buteno es isómero cis o principalmente isómero cis, en donde el 1,2-dicloroetileno es isómero trans o principalmente isómero trans. Estos enfriadores podrían ser evaporadores inundados o evaporadores de expansión directa, los cuales usan compresores centrífugos. En la presente invención se describen, además, métodos para producir enfriamiento que comprenden evaporar una composición que comprende cis-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-buteno y trans-1,2-dicloroetileno en la zona adyacente de un cuerpo a enfriarse. En la presente invención se describen, además, composiciones que comprenden cis-1,1,1,4,4,4- hexafluoro-2-buteno y trans-1,2-dicloroetileno, en donde el cis-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro -2-buteno se encuentra presente a 50 a aproximadamente 60 por ciento en peso.
