Abstract
Un sensor mide el asentamiento y características reológicas del concreto y está conectado a un sistema que ajusta el asentamiento al monitorear el sensor dentro de la superficie interior de un mezclador de concreto y controlar las adiciones de líquido. Los datos se analizan por medio de una unidad de procesamiento de computadora para determinar el asentamiento y características reológicas del concreto, el líquido requerido para cumplir con los requerimientos de asentamiento. La medición hecha por el sensor es más precisa que los métodos existentes debido a que toma en consideración el efecto de la hélice dentro del mezclador en el movimiento de la mezcla de concreto dentro del mezclador. Además, este método también permite la operación del sensor en situaciones de vida "real" donde la velocidad de rotación del mezclador no se puede mantener en un valor fijo. El hecho de que el sensor gira con el tambor y que la mezcla de concreto se empuja al fondo del tambor de mezcla garantiza que todo el concreto se "muestree" al comparar resultados recopilados de cada revolución del tambor de mezcla.
