Abstract

Un codificador de audio para codificar una senal de audio, comprende: un primer procesador de codificacion (600) para codificar una primera porcion de senal de audio en un dominio de frecuencia, en donde el primer procesador de codificacion (600) comprende: un conversor de frecuencia y de tiempo (602) para convertir la primera porcion de senal de audio en una representacion de un dominio de frecuencia que tiene lineas espectrales hasta una frecuencia maxima de la primera porcion de senal de audio; un analizador (604) para analizar la representacion del dominio de frecuencia hasta la frecuencia maxima para determinar primeras porciones espectrales para codificar con una primera resolucion espectral y segundas regiones espectrales para codificar con una segunda resolucion espectral, donde la segunda resolucion espectral es inferior a la primera resolucion espectral; un codificador espectral (606) para codificar las primeras porciones espectrales con la primera resolucion espectral y para codificar las segundas porciones espectrales con la segunda resolucion espectral; un segundo procesador de codificacion (610) para codificar una segunda porcion de senal de audio diferente en el dominio de tiempo; un controlador (620) configurado para analizar la senal de audio y para determinar que porcion de la senal de audio es la primera porcion de senal de audio codificada en el dominio de frecuencia y que porcion de la senal de audio es la segunda porcion de senal de audio codificada en el dominio de tiempo; y un formador de senales codificadas (630) para formar una senal de audio codificada que comprende una primera porcion de senales codificadas para la primera porcion de senal de audio y una segunda porcion de senales codificadas para la segunda porcion de senales de audio.
