Abstract
La presente invención proporciona un método para fabricar composiciones de arena en donde las partículas de arena fabricada son pretratadas con un policatión de mitigación para arcillas y mezcladas con partículas de arena natural que se han lavado para eliminar finos de tal forma que al menos 90% de las partículas de arena natural son retenidas en un tamiz de 75 micras. Los métodos de la invención también involucran el uso de la arena pretratada mezclada para fabricar hormigón en donde la arena se combina con cemento, un dispersante de tipo policarboxilato, una cantidad adicional de compuesto policatiónico de mitigación para arcillas, y al menos un compuesto de hidroxilo o ácido hidroxil carboxílico o sal.
