Abstract

Un método para proteger una superficie de sustrato metálico durante la aplicación de calor a las inmediaciones del sustrato, que comprende; se forma una composición líquida de revestimiento que comprende: a) por lo menos uno de un oligómero de policarbonato uretano diacrilato, oligómero de policarbonato uretano dimetacrilato, un oligómero de policarbonato caprolactona uretano diacrilato o un oligómero de policarbonato caprolactona uretano dimetacrilato; b) un diluyente reactivo capaz de una polimerización por radicales libres; y c) un fotoiniciador capas de generar radicales libres cuando se expone a una radiación actínica; la composición de revestimiento se aplica sobre una superficie del sustrato; la composición de revestimiento se expone entonces a una radiación actínica suficiente para polimerizar o reticular la composición en un revestimiento seco; durante el uso, el revestimiento se calienta sobre el sustrato a una temperatura de aproximadamente 204.44°C (400°F) a aproximadamente 315.56°C (600°F) para, de aproximadamente, 20 minutos a 30 minutos, y luego se retira el revestimiento.
