Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para preparar un polímero por polimerización de una solución acuosa de uno o más monómeros en emulsión inversa de agua en aceite, en la que uno o más de los monómeros usados comprende(n) por lo menos una función ácido, el porcentaje molar de monómeros que contienen por lo menos una función ácido débil en relación con todos los monómeros usados es por lo menos 30%, caracterizado porque: i) la polimerización se lleva a cabo con una concentración de todos los monómeros en solución acuosa que cae dentro del intervalo de 1.3 mmol a 3.6 mmol por gramo de solución acuosa, ii) durante la polimerización, cuando mucho 20% de las funciones ácido presentes en los monómeros que tienen por lo menos una función ácido están en forma neutralizada, y también a los polímeros que pueden obtenerse por medio de un proceso de este tipo.
