Abstract
Se proveen composiciones azeotrópicas y de tipo azeotrópico de trans-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-buteno (HFO-1336mzz (E)) y agua. Tales composiciones azeotrópicas y de tipo azeotrópico son útiles en el aislamiento de HFO-1336mzz (E) de las impurezas durante la producción. Los azeótropos de la presente invención son igualmente útiles en las composiciones finales, como agente de expansión, propulsores, refrigerantes, diluyentes para esterilización gaseosa y similares.
