Abstract

La unidad de manejo equipada para adquirir una muestra de una capa superior de lecho marino replegando y recuperando un barreno de pistón que sostiene la muestra de un lecho marino, y para remover la muestra del barreno de pistón, en donde la unidad de manejo es una unidad autónoma acomodada para montaje en un buque y para recuperación de una muestra del barreno de pistón mientras permanece vertical. La unidad de manejo comprende un contenedor con dimensiones y/o puntos de levantamiento y/o conexiones tal como son proporcionadas en un contenedor de flete marino estándar. Este también comprende un dispositivo de levantamiento que se puede doblar hacia fuera y de regreso a un contenedor de la unidad de manejo.
