Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para la fabricación de materiales cementantes suplementarios para el reemplazo del cemento Pórtland en la producción de morteros y concretos, en donde los materiales cementantes comprenden puzolanas naturales en la forma de rocas y cenizas. La invención está caracterizada porque las puzolanas en el estado triturado son sometidas a un procesamiento mecánico altamente energético por medio de molienda en un equipo de molienda, por lo cual las partículas de puzolana reciben impulsos mecánicos, y porque la molienda es llevada a cabo durante un tiempo predeterminado conduciendo a una resistencia compresiva de un cubo de 5.08 cm (2 pulgadas) de lado de un mortero que comprende 80 % de cemento Pórtland y 20 % de puzolana natural en una proporción de 1:2.75 con respecto a la arena estándar y se requiere agua adicional para obtener un flujo del mortero de acuerdo con el estándar americano ASTM C 109, el cual ha sido compactado apropiadamente bajo vibración y endurecido a + 20 °C en la condición sellada, el cual después de 28 días es = 75 % de la resistencia compresiva de un cubo de 5.08 cm (2 pulgadas) de lado, tratado como el cubo, de un mortero que comprende una proporción de cemento Pórtland:arena de 1:2.75 y agua adicional que corresponde a 48.5 % del peso del cemento Pórtland.
