Abstract
Se proporciona un dispositivo de protección (1) contra sobre intensidades que comprende un terminal de entrada de corriente (2); un terminal central (3) para salida de sobre-impulsos de corriente (ls); y un terminal (4) para salida de corriente no impulsiva (lc) exteriormente conectado al potencial del terminal central (3) con anterioridad a la presencia del sobre-impulso de corriente (Is) en el terminal de entrada (2); y un elemento conductor eléctrico (5) conectando entre los terminales de entrada y salida de corriente (2 y 4); presentando dicho elemento conductor una autoinducción (L) reducida para un funcionamiento sin sobre intensidades, pero que cuando los sobre-impulsos de corriente están presentes en el terminal de entrada (2), establece una elevada caída de tensión inductiva entres dichos terminales de entrada y de salida (2 y 4); estando el terminal central (3) fijado próximo al terminal de entrada de corriente (2) a una distancia (D) ajustable, de manera que cuando, debido a un sobre-impulso de corriente, la caída de tensión inductiva entre los terminales de entrada y de salida no impulsiva (2 y 4) supera la rigidez dieléctrica del material dieléctrico entre dichos terminales de entrada y central (2 y 3) se produce, con la ayuda del efecto pelicular, un arco eléctrico entre dichos terminales de entrada y central (2 y 3) eliminándose la circulación de sobre-impulsos de corriente (Is) a través del elemento conductor (5).
