Abstract
La revelación provee un método y sistema para reducir la vibración inducida por vórtice (VIV) con una pluralidad de placas laterales dispuestas tangencialmente (22) que tienen 5 un espacio abierto en ambas caras transversal al flujo de corriente de agua. En otra modalidad, las placas laterales tangenciales pueden ser dispuestas tangencialmente a lo lejos de la periferia del casco para formar una separación con un espacio abierto entre las placas y el casco.
