Abstract

La presente invención tiene que ver con un proceso y una planta para el tratamiento de partículas de concentrado de mineral que contienen metales valiosos y que tienen al menos componentes que contienen arsénico y azufre. El proceso comprende un proceso de tostado de dos etapas que comprende un primer paso de rostizado (1) hecho en un primer reactor (16) de rostizado y un segundo paso de rostizado (3) hecho en un segundo reactor (17) de rostizado. Se forma una mezcla de gas a partir del primer componente (2) de gas de proceso que se obtiene a partir del primer paso de rostizado (1) y a partir del segundo componente (4) de gas de proceso que se obtiene a partir del segundo paso de rostizado (3). La post combustión de la mezcla de gas se realiza en una cámara de postcombustión (6). La postcombustión trabaja con dicho primer componente (2) de gas de proceso reductor y rico en sulfuros y el segundo componente (4) de gas de proceso como gas de oxidación con el propósito de descomponer el SO3 en la mezcla de gas para reducir el contenido de SO3. Se reduce el riesgo de la formación de acumulaciones y de corrosión en la cámara de postcombustión y en los pasos subsecuentes. Finalmente el gas de salida (7) se expone a pasos de enfriamiento con gas subsecuente y de remoción de polvos.
