Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para caracterizar al menos un microorganismo de una muestra, el método incluye identificar al menos un microorganismo y determinar las propiedades de tipificado, resistencia potencial a al menos un antimicrobiano, y factor de virulencia, caracterizado en que determinar las propiedades de tipificado, resistencia a al menos un antimicrobiano, y factor de virulencia para al menos un microorganismo se implementa por medio de espectrometría de masa a través del uso de proteínas, péptidos y/o metabolitos como marcadores de las propiedades de tipificado, resistencia a al menos un antimicrobiano, y factor de virulencia.
