Abstract
Esta invención se relaciona con una resina que puede ser preparada por la reacción de un novolak de fenol/formaldehído con ortosilicato de tetraetilo en una relación en masa superior a 28:1, donde el fenol del novolak de fenol/formaldehído es hidroxibenceno sustituido o no sustituido o una mezcla de dos o más de esos fenoles, y con un material particulado recubierto con la resina. Las partículas pueden ser usadas por ejemplo en el proceso de moldeo por revestimiento para la producción de moldes revestidos y núcleos revestidos; y como soportes para usarse en el proceso de fracturamiento hidráulico.
