Abstract
Aparato y método para medir el consumo de corriente e informar el consumo de energía usando el transformador de corriente con devanados primarios hechos de aleación óhmica baja, que permite el uso de la bobina secundaria para alimentar los circuitos de detección y de reporte eliminando la energía desperdiciada por adaptadores de alimentación de CA-CD utilizados para los sensores de corriente; el ahorro es substancial debido a que los sensores de corriente no drenarán una corriente cuando las salidas de CA están desconectadas de una carga o cuando la carga está desconectada; el aparato que usa la aleación óhmica baja se extiende a la estructuración de las terminales, incluyendo los contactos de potencia, tomas de corriente y combinaciones para proporcionar elementos de detección óhmica baja en clavijas de CA, tomacorrientes, adaptadores y cables de extensión con múltiples salidas, disipando el calor de los elementos de detección por la clavija y la disipación de calor de metal más grande.
