Abstract
Se provee un método para fabricar un rodillo para reducción, en donde la aparición de defectos de aleta y defectos de borde pueden ser suprimidos. Un rodillo para reducción usado en una máquina de reducción de tres rodillos se prepara. Enseguida, mientras el rodillo para reducción es girado alrededor de un eje del rodillo, una parte de reborde (52) formada en una sección adyacente entre una parte de calibre y una parte de brida se corta para redondear la parte de reborde (52). En el paso de redondear la parte de reborde (52), en una región de la parte de reborde (RA52) dentro de un intervalo de 3.0 mm en una dirección del eje del rodillo con la parte superior de la parte de reborde (52) como el centro, el promedio de radios de curvatura medido a un paso de 0.5 se fija a 2.5-3.0 mm, y la diferencia entre el valor máximo y el valor mínimo de los radios de curvatura se fija a 1.0 mm o menos.
