Abstract
Se proporcionan composiciones tópicas que generan oxígeno a demanda, que tienen un indicador integrado específicamente para indicar un cambio de color después del mezclado total del precursor de oxígeno y del catalizador. La primera parte de la composición contiene un portador y nanopartículas de dióxido de manganeso (Mn02). La segunda parte de la composición comprende el precursor de oxígeno, peróxido de hidrógeno. Cuando las dos partes se combinan, una con nanopartículas de dióxido de manganeso y que presenta un color característico (por ejemplo amarillo-café) y la segunda parte con peróxido de hidrógeno, el color conferido por las nanopartículas de dióxido de manganeso prácticamente desaparece y la composición final (enriquecida con oxígeno) aparece ya sea sin color o adquiere el color original de la parte que comprende al catalizador antes de agregar el dióxido de manganeso. De este modo, las propias nanopartículas del catalizador del dióxido de manganeso actúan como el indicador colorimétrico de la descomposición del peróxido en oxígeno, evitando la necesidad de un colorante externo. Las partículas de dióxido de manganeso que no son nanopartículas no presentan este fenómeno de cambio de color.
