Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para la transmisión de un flujo de contenido de salida adaptivamente transcodificado de una entrada de contenido de flujo correspondiente que incluye ofrecer, a un dispositivo del cliente, un número de versiones alternativas de la salida de flujo del contenido, para selección por el dispositivo del cliente, y dividir la entrada de transmisión en dos o más segmentos. Previo a la etapa de ofrecimiento al menos un primer segmento de la entrada de transmisión es transcodificado en al menos un segmento correspondiente de un flujo de contenido de salida correspondiente con al menos una versión del número de versiones alternativas ofrecidas al dispositivo del cliente.
