Abstract

Se proporciona un artículo revestido, que tiene un recubrimiento sostenido por un substrato de vidrio donde el recubrimiento incluye por lo menos una capa absorbedora para ajustar el color y/o reflectividad. La(s) capa(s) absorbedora(s) permite(n) ajustar el color y reduce(n) la reflexión del lado del vidrio del artículo revestido y/o permite(n) que la resistencia laminar del recubrimiento sea reducida sin degradar la reflexión del lado del vidrio. En ciertas modalidades ejemplares, la capa absorbedora se proporciona entre la primera capa dieléctrica y la segunda capa dieléctrica las cuales pueden ser sustancialmente del mismo material y/o composición. En ciertas modalidades ejemplares, el artículo revestido es capaz de lograr la transmisión deseable, junto con el color deseado, baja reflectividad y baja selectividad, cuando tiene solo una capa reflejante de radiación infrarroja (IR) de plata y/u oro. Los artículos revestidos de acuerdo con ciertas modalidades ejemplares de esta invención se pueden utilizar en el contexto de las unidades de ventanas de vidrio aislante (IG), ventanas monolíticas o similares.
