Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con una aleación de aluminio resistente al calor que se puede fundir para aplicaciones a alta temperatura tales como componentes en motores de combustión, en particular para la fabricación cabezales de cilindro altamente cargados, la aleación comprende la siguiente composición: • Si: 6.5 - 10 % en peso • Mg: 0.25-0.36 % en peso • Cu: 0.3-0.7 % en peso • Hf: 0.025-0.55 % en peso y opcionalmente con la adición de: • Ti: 0-0.2 % en peso • Zr: 0-0.3 % en peso, el balance se hace de Al e impurezas inevitables incluyen Fe.
