Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para la producción de proteínas mediante fermentación celular, que comprende alimentar un recipiente fermentador, un gas que contiene oxígeno libre, un alcohol que tiene de 1 a 16 átomos de carbono y un medio nutriente, para formar un medio de cultivo, cultivar aeróbicamente un microorganismo en el medio de cultivo y separar y recuperar las proteínas producidas; el medio de cultivo se mantiene a una temperatura comprendida entre cerca de 30 grados C y alrededor de 60 grados C y a una presión de, por lo menos, cerca de 1 atmósfera; el microorganismo es capaz de asimilar el alcohol, como fuente principal de carbón y es una levadura seleccionada del grupo que consiste de Candida, Hansenula, Torulopsis, Saccharomyces, Pichia, Debaryomices, Lypomyces, Cryptococcus, Nematospora, y Brettanomyces; una bacteria seleccionada del grupo que consiste de Bacillus, Mycobacterium, Actinomyces, Nocardia, Pseudomonas, Nethanomonas, Protaminobacter, Methylococcus, Arthrobacter, Methylomonas, Brevibacterium, Acetobacter, Micrococcus, Rhodopseudomonas, Corynebacterium, Microbacterium, Achromobacter, Methylobacter, Methylosinus, y Methylocystis; o un hongo seleccionado del grupo que consiste de Aspergillus, Monilia, Rhizopus, Penicillium, Mucor, Alternaria y Nelminthosporium, caracterizado por el hecho de mantener el medio de cultivo mencionado, dentro del recipiente fermentador, en condición espumada durante todo el proceso.
