Abstract

Un proceso para producir metanol a partir de un gas de compensación ajustado, el cual comprende las etapas de ajustar el número estequiométrico del gas de compensación alimentado al circuito de metanol, con una primera corriente de hidrógeno recuperada a partir de una porción menor del gas de compensación separado desde la corriente principal; y una segunda corriente de hidrógeno recuperada desde la purga del circuito; el proceso comprende además la etapa de alimentar por lo menos una porción de un gas residual rico en metano hacia una etapa de reformación para ser utilizada como un material de alimentación en la producción de gas de compensación.
