Abstract

La invención se refiere a un proceso para elaborar un compuesto de nitrilo a través del alargamiento de la cadena de un compuesto de alquileno amina que contiene tres o más unidades de amina en las que al menos dos unidades de amina se protegen por una unidad de urea cíclica y al menos una unidad de amina no está protegida, al reaccionar la al menos una unidad de amina que no está protegida con glicolonitrilo o con la combinación de formaldehído y un compuesto de cianuro seleccionado de HCN y sales de cianuro inorgánico, para añadir al menos un grupo acetonitrilo a la al menos una unidad de amina que no está protegida. El proceso de acuerdo con la invención permite la elaboración de compuestos de nitrilo en alta selectividad y alto rendimiento. Los compuestos de nitrilo pueden procesarse como se desee.
