Abstract
Se describe un compuesto de moldeo a granel termoestable útil para fabricar los componentes de automóviles, como faros, así como otros artículos de fabricación. La composición incorpora componentes de absorción de humedad como tamices moleculares para absorber agua presente en el compuesto antes del moldeado, reduciendo o eliminando los defectos del molde mientras retienen las propiedades físicas necesarias para las aplicaciones automovilísticas. Esto resulta en una composición moldeada con un brillo medido a 60° de más que 85 GU que puede, sin necesidad de un recubrimiento de base, metalizarse directamente y tener una calidad de reflector y durabilidad. Los componentes moldeados metalizados pueden someterse a etapas adicionales como la aplicación de capas sellantes protectoras, como es requerido por la aplicación para automóviles. La eliminación de agua antes del moldeo y la metalización directa reduce el tiempo de producción de los artículos moldeados.
