Abstract
Se describen métodos para despolimerizar material en base a poliolefina para obtener productos petroquímicos útiles usando oligómeros o polímeros de estireno y calor. Los oligómeros o polímeros de estireno mejoran la reacción de despolimerización al disminuir el tiempo medio para la despolimerización, lo que resulta en una tasa de despolimerización más alta y un tiempo de residencia más corto en la unidad de despolimerización, permitiendo una reacción de despolimerización predecible y disminuyendo la ramificación o formaciones aromáticas en el producto.
