Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para calcinar y enfriar material, tal como rocas carbonatadas, en un horno de cuba regenerativo de corriente continua y contracorriente (10) con dos cubas (12), que se hacen funcionar alternativamente como cuba de calcinación y como cuba regenerativa, en donde el material fluye a través de una zona de precalentamiento (28), al menos una zona de calcinación (36) y una zona de enfriamiento (42) hasta una salida de material (20, 76), en donde al menos un flujo de gas se comprime por medio de un ventilador de alta presión (54a-c) y se introduce en el horno de cuba regenerativo de corriente continua y contracorriente (10), en donde el ventilador de alta presión (54a-c) está configurado como ventilador axial o como ventilador radial con un impulsor atravesado axial o radialmente. La invención también se refiere a un horno de cuba regenerativo de corriente continua y contracorriente (10) para calcinar y enfriar material, tal como rocas carbonatadas, con dos cubas (12), que pueden accionarse alternativamente como cuba de calcinación y como cuba regenerativa, en donde cada cuba (12) presenta en dirección de flujo del material una zona de precalentamiento (28) para precalentar el material, una zona de calcinación (36) para calcinar el material y una zona de enfriamiento (42) para enfriar el material, en donde el horno de cuba regenerativa de corriente continua y contracorriente (10) presenta al menos un ventilador de alta presión (54a-c) que está configurado y está dispuesto para comprimir un flujo de gas introducido en el horno de cuba regenerativa de corriente continua y contracorriente (10), en donde el ventilador de alta presión (54a-c) está configurado como ventilador axial o como ventilador radial con un impulsor que puede atravesarse axial o radialmente.
