Abstract

Un método para reparar o mejorar un sistema de protección contra rayos de una aspa de rotor de una turbina eólica que tiene una base de aspa y una punta de aspa incluye identificar una ubicación de reparación o mejora en el sistema de protección contra rayos de la aspa de rotor. El método incluye eliminar una o más capas de material en el lugar de reparación o mejora que forman parte de una carcasa de la aspa del rotor para exponer el material conductor existente en la aspa del rotor. El método también incluye colocar una capa conductora de material encima de la ubicación de reparación o mejora, de modo que un borde del lado de la raíz de la capa conductora se superponga al material conductor existente. Además, el método incluye conectar eléctricamente el borde del lado de la raíz de la capa conductora con el material conductor existente y un borde del lado de la punta de la capa conductora de material con la punta de la cuchilla. El método incluye además cubrir la capa conductora con una cubierta exterior.
