Abstract
En diversas modalidades, se describen métodos para producir látex de poliisopreno acuoso a partir de cis-1,4- poliisopreno natural. El cis-1,4-poliisopreno natural puede obtenerse de arbustos de guayule. En diversas modalidades, el método comprende extraer material de la planta de guayule para formar una micela, fraccionar la micela a un cemento preliminar, diluir el cemento preliminar a un cemento para dispersar, dispersar el cemento en una mezcla tensioactiva acuosa bajo alto cizallamiento para producir una emulsión, y desolventizar la emulsión para producir una dispersión de látex acuosa. Después, el nivel de sólidos de caucho puede ajustarse mediante centrifugación y dilución en agua para producir un látex de cis-1,4-poliisopreno acuoso final.
