Abstract

Se describen fibras sin fin a base de celulosa y/o derivados de celulosa, en particular para la producción de materiales textiles o fibras de carbono resistentes a la llama. La celulosa y/o los derivados de celulosa están presentes en las fibras sin fin en forma deshidratada. El contenido de oxígeno asciende a del 29 al 39 % en peso, el índice de oxígeno LOI asciende a de 25 a 40 (según la norma EN ISO 6941; 2004-05) y la densidad asciende a de 1.3 a 1.45 g/cm3 (según la norma 65569-1; 1992-10). Las fibras sin fin se pueden producir de este modo ventajosamente impregnando las fibras de partida con una solución en particular acuosa de una sal especial que en condiciones térmicas libera un ácido de deshidratación que provoca la deshidratación de la celulosa y/o de los derivados de celulosa en un paso térmico posterior. Con las fibras sin fin de acuerdo con la invención se pueden producir en particular fibras de carbono ventajosas.
