Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con el proceso de producción de agregados artificiales a partir de residuos de represas de minerales. Los residuos arenosos de mineral de hierro se mezclan con un aglutinante y, a través del proceso de mezclado y granulación, forman el agregado artificial. El agregado artificial producido tiene forma esferoidal, gran tamaño, superficie rugosa y un color que oscila entre el rosa y el rojo oscuro. Este agregado artificial es capaz de sustituir al agregado natural, y puede ser utilizado en la fabricación de un concreto más resistente, para la base y sub-base de caminos, como elemento decorativo para jardines y canteros, además de ser una forma de almacenamiento de residuos de presas de mineral en forma de pelotillas, agregando valor a estos residuos y reduciendo los impactos ambientales de la minería.
