Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un dispositivo médico para compresión de vasos sanguíneos que se aplica a una extremidad de un paciente con el fin de lograr hemostasia local. El dispositivo de compresión de la invención está equipado con un mecanismo de control de compresión distal al área de compresión, que controla la compresión del dispositivo sobre la extremidad del paciente ajustando la tensión de la correa utilizada para unir el dispositivo a la extremidad del paciente. El dispositivo comprende además un soporte estabilizador, que previene que el dispositivo cambie su posición, cuando se aplica a la extremidad del paciente.
