Abstract
Un método de particionamiento en codificación de video para JVET, que comprende representar una unidad de árbol de codificación de JVET como un nodo raíz en una estructura de árbol cuaternario más binario (QTBT) que puede tener particionamiento binario, ternario o cuaternario del nodo raíz y ramificación de árboles binaria, ternaria o cuaternaria de cada uno de los nodos hoja. El particionamiento en cualquier profundidad puede usar particionamiento binario asimétrico para dividir un nodo hijo representado por un nodo hoja en dos o tres nodos hijo de tamaño desigual, representar los nodos hijo como nodos hoja en una ramificación de árbol binario del nodo hoja padre y codificar los nodos hijo representados por nodos hoja finales del árbol binario con JVET, en el que el particionamiento adicional de nodos hijo divididos a partir de nodos hoja a través de particionamiento binario asimétrico puede restringirse dependiendo del tipo de división del nodo padre.
