Abstract

La presente invención se refiere al campo de los co(polímeros) que contienen dieno modificados, en particular, a copolímeros de butadieno-estireno modificados que pueden usarse como retardadores de llama para composiciones de polímeros basadas en poliestireno expansible; en particular, la invención se refiere a un (co)polímero que contiene dieno modificado, un método para preparar el mismo y el uso del mismo como un retardador de llama para poliestireno expansible; el (co)polímero que contiene dieno modificado de conformidad con la invención se caracteriza por una alta resistencia al calor, en particular, una temperatura de pérdida de peso de 5% de por lo menos 180°C, un peso molecular de por lo menos 1500 g/mol, y un contenido de halógeno de por lo menos 35% en peso con base en el peso total del (co)polímero.
