Abstract

La presente invención es un proceso, un método y un sistema para la recuperación y concentración de bicarbonato de amonio disuelto del agua residual que contiene amoníaco (NH3) usando separación de gas, condensación y cristalización, cada uno a temperaturas de operación controladas. La presente invención incluye 1) la eliminación de amoníaco de los residuos (lodos, semisólidos y sólidos y líquidos) sin el uso de productos químicos a una temperatura de al menos 80 °C, 2) la condensación del gas que contiene amoníaco, dióxido de carbono y vapor de agua para la eliminación del vapor de agua concentrando de la cantidad de amoníaco gaseoso y dióxido de carbono, 3) la concentración del amoníaco y del dióxido de carbono en el agua por medios establecidos, como concentración del gas usando condensación parcial seguida del paso del gas concentrado a través de una columna de absorción a una temperatura de entre 20 y 50 °C para la formación de carbonato de amonio y bicarbonato de amonio disueltos, o la condensación total seguida de deshidratación mediante ósmosis inversa, y 4) la cristalización de bicarbonato de amonio y carbonato de amonio disuelto y concentrado a una temperatura de menos de 35 °C para formar bicarbonato de amonio y carbonato de amonio sólidos.
