Abstract
Las composiciones que contienen hidróxido de calcio se pueden fabricar apagando cal viva y posteriormente secando y moliendo el producto apagado. La composición que contiene hidróxido de calcio resultante puede tener un tamaño, inclinación, volumen de poro y/u otras características que hacen que las composiciones sean adecuadas para el tratamiento de gases de escape y/o la eliminación de contaminantes. En algunas modalidades, las composiciones que contienen hidróxido de calcio pueden incluir un D10 de aproximadamente 0.5 micras a aproximadamente 4 micras, un D90 menor de aproximadamente 30 micras y una relación de D90 a D10 de aproximadamente 8 a aproximadamente 20, en donde las partículas individuales incluyen un área de superficie mayor o igual a aproximadamente 25 m2/g.
