Abstract

Se describe un método para acoplar una fibra óptica a un cable de fibra óptica, el cable de fibra óptica comprende una cubierta que rodea el núcleo óptico que comprende un tubo de protección, la fibra óptica estando dentro del tubo de protección de manera holgada. El método comprende: cortar una longitud predeterminada de la cubierta y exponer una parte correspondiente del núcleo óptico que se extiende hacia fuera más allá del borde de la cubierta cortada; cortar el tubo de protección del núcleo óptico expuesto y exponer una parte de la fibra óptica; usar un tubo de bloqueo para rodear al menos parcialmente una sección de la parte expuesta de la fibra óptica; e inyectar un sellador en el tubo de bloqueo para fijar la fibra óptica dentro del tubo de bloqueo y acoplar la fibra óptica al cable de fibra óptica.
