Abstract

En un primer aspecto, la invención es concerniente con un método para controlar una bomba (2), la bomba (2) comprende una unidad de control integrada (12), una unidad de accionamiento que tiene un motor eléctrico (9) y un eje de accionamiento (10) y una unidad hidráulica que tiene un impulsor (11) conectado al motor eléctrico (9) vía el eje de accionamiento (10), en donde la unidad de control (12) es conectada operativamente al motor eléctrico (9) y configurada para monitorear y controlar la operación de la bomba (2), en donde la bomba (2) comprende además un sensor de presión integrado (15) que tiene una presión de referencia fija y que es conectado operativamente a la unidad de control (12), la unidad de control (12) es configurada para determinar el nivel de líquido del líquido que rodea la bomba (2) en base a una relación entre el valor real del sensor de presión (15) y un valor de referencia, en donde el método comprende un sub-método para calibrar la bomba (2) y que comprende los pasos de iniciar el bombeo, continuar el bombeo hasta que el nivel de líquido del líquido que rodea la bomba (2) es igual a un nivel de calibración predeterminado, el nivel de calibración predeterminado es fijo en relación con la bomba (2), determinar el valor real del nivel de calibración del sensor de presión (15) cuando el nivel de líquido del líquido que rodea la bomba (2) es igual al nivel de calibración predeterminado y calibrar la bomba (2) al establecer un nuevo valor de referencia correspondiente al valor real del nivel de calibración. En un segundo aspecto, la invención también se refiere a tal bomba (2).
