Abstract
Se proporciona un proceso para preparar una espuma de polímero termoplástico, que comprende proporcionar una composición espumable que comprende un polímero termoplástico y un agente de soplado, en donde el agente de soplado comprende de 10 % a 60 % en peso de Z-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-buteno (Z-HFO-1336mzz) y de 40 % a 90 % en peso de 1,1-difluoroetano (HFC-152a), y en donde el polímero termoplástico comprende homopolímero de poliestireno, un copolímero de poliestireno, copolímero de estireno-acrilonitril o, o mezclas de estos, y que expande la composición espumable para producir una espuma de polímero de piel lisa de celda cerrada, que tiene una densidad de menos de 42 kg/m3. También se describe una composición de espuma de polímero termoplástico que comprende un polímero termoplástico seleccionado del grupo que consiste en homopolímero de poliestireno, un copolímero de poliestireno, copolímero de estireno-acrilonitrilo, o mezclas de estos, que definen una pluralidad de celdas que tienen un tamaño de celda promedio y un agente de soplado que comprende de 10 % a 60 % en peso de Z-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-buteno (Z-HFO-1336mzz) y de 40 % a 90 % en peso de 1,1-difluoroetano (HFC-152a), que tiene una densidad de menos de 42 kg/m2, de acuerdo con el método ISO 845-85, en donde el polímero termoplástico tiene una velocidad de flujo de fusión de menos de 25 g/10 min.
