Abstract

Un método de cocción de un alimento, el método comprende las etapas de: a. proporcionar un lecho que comprende una pluralidad de partículas huecas, en donde las partículas huecas se componen, comprenden o consisten en un material que es magnético y/o electroconductor; b. calentar las partículas huecas en el lecho para formar un medio de cocción en forma de un lecho calentado de partículas huecas, en donde, en la etapa b, las partículas huecas se calientan por lo menos parcialmente por inducción electromagnética; c. proporcionar un alimento, opcionalmente una pluralidad de elementos precursores de botanas, en el medio de cocción para en consecuencia cocinar el alimento para formar un alimento cocinado, opcionalmente una pluralidad de piezas de botanas cocinadas, en donde las partículas calentadas transfieren calor al alimento por conducción térmica; y d. separar el alimento cocinado y el medio de cocción.
